What all does tutoring with Marty include?Everything! Starting with an initial assessment and everything you need all the way up to test day. It covers materials, any and all content that might come up, strategy, pacing, test review, and anything else that might be needed to help you succeed. Or, if you’re only looking for help on a particular section or topic, then we can work only on that section or topic.

There are tutors out there that only charge $40 or $50 per hour, how come you’re more expensive? It comes down to experience and expertise. I know the tests inside out. I’ve been doing this for 20 years. I’ve also been at the local library or coffee shop and have overheard other tutors give their clients incorrect information (I promise you the number 1 is not prime; yes, zero is an even integer; yes, there are still experimental questions on most of these tests; and most importantly, yes, you can score well on these tests even though you might not know the answers to all the questions!)

OK, so you're just as expensive and some of the big test prep companies, why shouldn't I go to them? You never know who you're going to get with them. I used to work for one of the big test prep companies and besides tutoring and teaching classes, I also trained teachers. If someone passed the training, then they were certified to teach and tutor. Many things went into how a tutor was assigned to a student, including availability. Maybe you get an experienced tutor who's been doing this for a while. Maybe you get someone who was just trained. The company is not going to tell you. If you call me, you will work with me. You get 20 years of experience. Guaranteed.

I don’t know which test to take…… What do I do?Call me! That’s all part of the process. Be it SAT vs. ACT for undergrad admissions or GMAT vs. GRE vs. Executive Assessment for business school, I can help you figure out which test is best for you and then go from there.

How many hours of tutoring will I need?Great question, and one that depends on a lot of factors! What's your starting score? What's your target score? How comfortable are you with the content? Have you already done some prep on your own? Without knowing more, I can't give you an exact answer as every student is different (and don't trust anyone who promises a certain score increase after a certain number of hours!). Schedule a free introductory phone or zoom call to get more information. I promise you, I will do everything I can to help you achieve your target score!
